Learning to Crawl Before I Walk

EvilOrly\’s Poker Journey

It’s Going OK

Not alot to post about today. I played the last two days and am in the positive both days. My sessions have been an hour or less but it can’t be helped. It seems like since I got my new position, working in the day time I use more family time and go to bed pretty early. Looks like the weekends will be my primetime until I get used to my new sleep schedual and get myself to stay up later. As I said not alot to talk about but I will post a few hands for the hell of it and we can comment.

This first hand shows what can be done in position. I have seen plays like this in videos at cardrunners alot but I never seem to hit the right flop until now.

SB shows Ad Jc

I figured the ace would make or break this hand. Someone would have an ace and I would get action (as what happened) or the ace would scare any action away.

This next hand (from yesterday) is opposite. I was out of position in the SB, raised and had two callers…

EvilOrly mucks cards. (EvilOrly has As Qc.)

I am not sure if this hand was played to correctness, but I believe the button made the bigger  mistake by calling a raise from me. Any tips on this one would be appreciated.

Well thanks and Good night.

  1. I would probably make a pot size bet when the ace hits the turn.
