Learning to Crawl Before I Walk

EvilOrly\’s Poker Journey

Session 2

This session went back and forth a little. I couldn’t get going well on any table but one. The rest were losers. I ended up $10 , but still climbing for even.

Here is a hand I think went exactly my way.

Ultimate Bet No-Limit Hold’em, $.25 BB (5 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: HTML)

Hero ($26.35)
SB ($23.65)
BB ($13.10)
UTG ($33.15)
MP ($16.60)

Preflop: Hero is Button with Th, Tc.
1 fold, MP calls $0.25, Button raises to $1.1, SB calls $1, 1 fold, MP folds.

Flop: ($2.70) Kd, Kh, 2d (2 players)
SB checks, Hero checks.

Turn: ($2.70) Td (2 players)
SB bets $2.7, Hero calls $2.70.

River: ($8.10) 7c (2 players)
SB bets $8.1, Button bets $8.1, SB bets $16.2.

Final Pot: $32.40

Results below:
Hero has Th Tc (full house, tens full of kings).
SB has Ad Jd (flush, ace high).
Outcome: Hero wins $32.39.

If he had bet the flop I would have folded.

  1. If he bets the flop here, no way I’m folding this hand. As a matter of fact, I’m probably raising. Most guys if they have a king there with go for a check raise.
